Mawaidzul Usfuriyah - Hadits 1.5

Kitab al-Mawaidh al-‘Ushfuriyyah is a notable work by Sheikh Muhammad bin Abu Bakr al-Ushfury. However, details regarding his life remain scarce, which may be attributed to the limited distribution of his works.

The structure and collection of the Hadiths presented, comprising 40 Hadiths, reflect a trend among certain salaf scholars. For instance, Imam an-Nawawi is well-known for his compilation of Arba'in Hadiths. This practice draws inspiration from a narration by Abu Hurairah (RA), where the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) stated, “Whoever among my followers memorizes 40 Hadiths concerning their religion, Allah will resurrect them on the Day of Judgment alongside the scholars and fuqaha.”
